The difference is the combination: bring a cooler drink back toward your chosen temperature, prepare a larger pour, drink away from a powered desk, adjust degree by degree on the mug and recharge through USB-C PD. Yes. Active reheating is a core XMUG function: when a drink is below the selected temperature, the heater can add energy to bring it back toward that setting. This goes beyond passive insulation. Actual warming time depends on fill, starting temperature, target, surroundings and available battery.

The early prototype experience was approximately 20–30 minutes for 500 ml going from about 25°C to 55°C (77°F to 131°F). That is a specific development observation, not a 777 ml test or a universal production promise. A different drink volume or starting temperature changes the task.

You can begin with an already hot drink. Select a comfortable drinking temperature and let a hotter drink cool toward it; XMUG maintains the setting with active heat as needed. The mug does not actively chill a drink that starts above the target. Leave room for the lid within the recommended fill.

XMUG 777 HOT is designed for a selected drinking temperature between 35°C and 65°C (95°F to 149°F), not boiling or cooking. The high-power heating design supports reheating below the chosen setting. It does not turn the mug into a boiling-water appliance.

Yes. You do not have to accept one fixed hot setting. Choose a quick preset or adjust the target in 1°C or 1°F steps directly on the mug. A gentler temperature or a warmer sip can be a personal choice; the same setting will not taste ideal to everyone.

Adding a cooler ingredient can lower the drink temperature. If the combined drink falls below your chosen setting, XMUG can actively warm it toward that target. The 777 ml recommended fill gives a 16–18 oz coffee room for milk while keeping the total within the fill limit. That does not establish a separate timed milk-drink test.

XMUG 777 HOT focuses on warming and temperature maintenance. If a drink is hotter than the target, it cools naturally; the current product does not actively chill a drink.

777 ml, approximately 26.3 US fl oz, is the recommended fill with the lid. It is the practical drinking amount used in the current product story, rather than a brim-full figure. Leave the intended lid clearance and follow the final fill markings and instructions.

The recommended 26.3 US fl oz fill accommodates a 16–18 oz coffee with room for milk, provided the total stays within 777 ml. This is useful when your usual order feels cramped in a smaller mug. The extra room is about a comfortable larger drink, not a reason to fill above the limit.

You can prepare more of the drink you already enjoy before sitting down. Combined with temperature control, that can mean fewer refills during a work session, book, meeting or conversation. You still choose how much to pour; 777 ml is capacity, not an instruction to drink a particular amount.

No. The 777 ml figure is a recommended upper fill, not a requirement to fill the cup every time. Earlier prototype observations used 500 ml. A smaller fill has different heating and runtime conditions, so do not apply the 777 ml record to it as a guarantee; follow the final operating fill guidance.

Coffee, tea and water are natural everyday use cases for a temperature-controlled drinking mug. The benefit is choosing a comfortable sipping setting rather than rushing before a drink cools. Stay within the recommended fill and clean drink residue promptly, especially after milk or flavored ingredients. Heat control is for your preferred sipping temperature; it is not a food-preservation or sterilization function. M selects quick temperature presets, Power switches the mug on or off, and C provides custom temperature adjustment. These core controls are on the mug, so changing your drink setting does not require opening a phone app. Follow the supplied production guide for the final button sequence.

The current M-mode presets are 50°C, 55°C and 60°C, equivalent to 122°F, 131°F and 140°F. They provide quick starting points for a gentler, middle or warmer drink. Custom mode lets you choose the degrees between them.

Yes. The current custom range is 35–65°C / 95–149°F, adjustable in 1°C or 1°F steps directly on the mug. For example, you can select 131°F or 132°F rather than being limited to a small set of fixed temperatures.

Yes. The current control direction supports °C and °F, including 1°C and 1°F adjustment steps. A 1°F step is about 0.556°C; it is not the same sized step as 1°C. The core temperature choice stays on the mug in either unit.

You can see actual temperature, target temperature, battery and operating status. During reheating, that separates where the drink is now from where you want it to go. Direct numerical feedback helps reduce guessing about the selected setting and what the mug is doing.

No app or Bluetooth pairing is required for the first generation’s core drinking functions. Power, presets, custom temperature and status are handled on the mug. That makes the essentials available when your phone is elsewhere and avoids adding phone setup to a simple drink.

A 1°F setting step is approximately 0.556°C. Setting resolution and the accuracy or uniformity of a whole drink are different measures. Final accuracy claims need a defined measurement method and production validation.

A lidded prototype was still operating at the 6 h 45 min observation point: 777 ml water, about 31°C starting temperature, 55°C target and about 25°C room. The time includes warm-up. Starting battery charge and final shutoff time were not stated. It is a designer-reported observation, not a guaranteed production runtime.

You can drink with the lid off, but runtime is recorded separately. The 9 September log used 777 ml, about 53–54°C starting water, a 55°C target and about 25°C room: 14:06–18:00 total, with 55°C reached at 14:22. Starting charge was unstated. These conditions differ from the later lidded test; they do not establish a matched lid-on/lid-off difference.

Fill, lid use, starting temperature, target, room temperature, battery charge and battery condition affect the heating task. Restoring a cooler drink uses energy that simply holding a warmer one does not. The published records are useful examples with conditions attached; your session can differ.

Ordinary idle time does not itself end your session in the current product direction. You can return after an interruption while energy remains available. A source that supports the required USB-C PD profile, with a suitable cable, can support mobile recharging. A USB-C socket alone is not enough. Check the output specification and supported combinations before relying on a power bank or vehicle port.

First check the power source’s PD output, the cable and the charging status shown on the mug. A shared multi-port adapter may not provide its headline output to every port at once. You can pass your fingers through the handle while your palm rests against the cup, spreading support across the hand rather than relying on fingertips alone. This is a considered grip for a larger mug; it does not remove the weight.

The sliding lid can be moved with one hand for direct sipping, and the threaded connection secures the lid to the cup. The handle supports a fingers-through grip. This gives an everyday route from holding the mug to taking a sip; actual comfort depends on your hand and the final product.

The current drink-contact material direction specifies 316L stainless steel. Final material declarations and food-contact validation must support the production product; a grade name alone is not a certification.
